The Westsik crop rotation experiment was established in 1929 and still can be used to study the effects of organic manure treatment to develop models and to predict likely effect of different cropping system on soil properties and crop yields. Such experiments are costly to maintain but their cost can be easily justified if they serve a number of different objectives and provide data to better agriculture practice
