The yield quantity and quality of some Hungarian local varieties of pear

The main qualities of 21 Hungarian pear varieties were observed. The maturation, production quantity of varieties and development of the values of their internal content were pointed out. By observing the internal content I must stress the "Kocsog korte" and "Fehervari korte 4", which showed the best values from the point of view of acid, pectin and C-vitamin content. The "Szucsi oszi III" - in relating to all observed internal content - made good or outstandingly good values considering the 5 yearly average though its production quantity fell short of "Kocsog korte" and "Fehervari korte 4". The above mentioned 3 varieties may have an important role in the future with the aim of making an industrial species by an improvement work
