Among the selfed Wf9 plants, one was found to shed 96 % ADH- pollen grains. The ADH analyses of the ADH- plant showed the expected segregation ratio corresponding to the triplex (FFFS) genotype in the scutellum. Of the nine offsprings of the selfed ADH- plant, only did not possess ADH activity. Consequently, we refused the "O" allele hypothesis
