The main purpose of this study was to measure the best predictive model for the estimation of evapotranspiration crop coefficients of corn; sowed in a weighing lysimeter of high precision measurement for the determination of the evapotranspiration when the corn was growing under no limiting moisture conditions. The results showed an excellent fit to the proposed models by Norero (1976) and Sammis et al. (1985), which relate evapotranspiration crop coefficients versus the relative vegetative development and the leaf index versus the growing-degree-days, respectively

El objetivo principal de este trabajo fue determinar el mejor modelo predictivo para la estimacion del coeficiente de ajuste por desarrollo del maiz; para tal proposito, el cultivo se instalo en un lisimetro de pesada de alta precision para la determinacion de las tasas evapotranspirativas diarias. Los resultados mostraron un excelente ajuste al modelo propuesto por Norero (1976) y Sammis et al. (1985), donde dicho coeficiente de ajuste es funcion del desarrollo vegetativo del cultivo y del indice de area foliar, para el primero, y en funcion de las unidades calor acumuladas, para el segundo.
