A field study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the combined use of pheromone trap and Metarhizium anisopliae for sweetpotato weevil control. In general, there was 50 percent more uninfested storage roots from treated plots than the control plots in spite of the high weevil population. The last wet season trial had the lowest percent root damage which was related to the lower weevil population. There was dispersal of fungal-infected insects, the number being higher in M. anisopliae treated plots. The implication of these findings were discussed and possible modifications in the methodology were suggested
