Tillage system (conventional tillage versus direct sowing) did not influence grain yield of maize and pearl millet. Green matter yield of conventionally planted maize and millet was significantly lower in comparison to direct-sowing. However percent of dry matter was for maize and millet planted conventionally. The tillage system did not influence the organic matter and neutral detergent fibre content. In vitro organic matter digestibility of maize was not influenced by tillage but was lower with direct sowing millet than conventional planted millet
