Agronomic practices for small grain yield, stability and quality

Potential production possibilities of small grains and their realization and the main environmental factors are discussed. The qualitative features of cereal grains result mainly from the genetic characteristics of the species or variety and from climatic conditions. Agronomic measures have a relatively smaller influence on the qualitative features of grain. The only exception is nitrogen fertilization which may significantly change the protein content of the grain and its technological value
