In the 1992 the lead content of soil and grass in the vinicity of communication routes and in the largest city parks and select private gardens was examined in Szczecin and its environs. A particularly high content was discovered in samples of soil and grass taken in areas 1 meter away from the roads, especially at street crossings and tram stops
