Yielding and protein quality of spring triticale grain in relation to the nitrogen fertilization

The grain yield increase at N-doses up to 90 kg N/ha, while the protein yield at doses up to 120 kg N/ha. The protein quality, as measured by the amino acid contents or EAA index, decreased with increasing level of nitrogen fertilization. However, the quality decrease at N-doses ranging 0-60 kg was little. A significant decrease in all indices of protein quality occurred only at 120 kg N fertilization
