Application of finite elements method to construction optimization of agricultural machines

In the paper the most important phases of conducting engineering analysis by means of finite element method were discussed. The essential problems usually encountered when selecting material for setting up calculating model were indicated. Theoretical discussion of modelling and numerical processing were based on the carrying frame of pick-up straw baler. The construction was subjected to computer analysis in aspect of optimization of its cross-sections
