Ionic balance in spring barley in relation to mobile aluminium concentration in soil
1994
Filipek, T. | Badora, A. (University of Agriculture, Lublin (Poland). Dept. of Agricultural Chemistry)
In the pot experiments increasing doses of CaO caused a significance decrease in exchangeable acidity in soil, which was in positive correlation with mobile aluminium. Additional soil acidification caused an increase of exchangeable acidity and mobile aluminium content in soil. Larger doses of CaO limited the occurrence of Al(3+). A large amount of aluminium in soil increased K uptake which, in turn, caused the loss of balance K:(Ca+Mg), especially in the Ars variety
