Researches concerning the growth of Karakul of Botosani yearlings breed, function of the protein level given in diets

A trial has been performed on 150 yearlings of Karakul of Botosani breed, allotted into three groups with three protein levels: 80, 100 and 120 g of digestible raw protein. The obtained results demonstrate that yearlings achieve superior indices concerning growth, body conformation and reproduction when using diets with a protein level of 120 g/head/day, but the lowering of proteins under this level has a negative impact upon these indices.
