Aspects concerning the influence of microclimate factors on milk yield and behaviour of milk sheep population

The influence of two microclimate variants was investigated in order to complete the breeding technology of sheep from the milk population: one variant was that with low temperature and normal moisture and the other with optimum temperature but high moisture, performed on two groups of ewes with their lambs (aged 45-65 days) on a 40 days period, during winter time. The follwing results were obtained: - the decrease of milk yield by 8 per cent in the first group against the second, but the chemical composition of milk didn't change; - a mean daily gain of 5.5 per cent with the first group of lambs against the second group of lambs; - a higher fodder consumption with the first group of lambs; - between the temperature and the consumed fodder quantity there are not significant correlations but between the temperature and the length of fodder consumption the correlations are very significant and negative; - ewes in the first group had a longer time for the quadrupedal position and fodder consumption and less time for rest and rumination in the standing position against group 2; - length of the standing position and rumination are significantly and positively correlated with the temperature in both ewes and lambs; - the first variant of microclimate affected the animals' health state.
