The character of competitive relationships between cultivated and weed plants in stands of various form crops has been studied. It has been found that the competitive ability of cultivated plants depended on the rates of the biomass accumulation. Grain crops, perennial grasses, the pea, and the sunflower are characterized by the resistance of weeds while the beet, the soybean, and the corn are highly susceptible to weed plants in stands
