A total of 574 domestic ducks (Anas platyrhynchos f. domestica) were examined for haemagglutination-inhibiting (HI) antibody. The ducks were sampled in fishponds of southern Moravia. HI antibody to all virus antigens used was detected, with a variable frequency of: Sindbis (SIN) - 0.3 %, West-Nile (WN) - 11.3 %, Tahyna (TAH) - 8.0 %, Calovo (CVO) - 2.1 %. Positive samples were verified in a virus - neutralizing test.
