To prevent the interferences of phosphate and other anions in potassium fertilizer determined by flame photometric or atomic absorption spectrophotometric method, suppressor (calcium carbonate in hydrochloric acid) was added in the ratio of 1:10. 3 kinds of fertilizers containing phosphate ion as 6-12-24, 10-20-30, 15-15-15 and potassium chloride and potassium sulfate were investigated with 10 replications. The data showed no differences among samples additional with and without suppressor. Percentage of K2O analyzed from 16-12-24 without suppressor was very slightly higher than those additional with suppressor. No standard deviation and coefficient of variation had been found in this experiment.
