Use of foliar fertilizer as mineral source for node culture of anthurium

Minerals of Murashige and Skoog (1962) formula were replaced by 2808.6 mg/l of 30-20-10 foliar fertilizer, 4459.6 mg/l of 20-20-20 fertilizer or 3143.52 mg/l of 10-20-30 fertilizer for node culture of anthurium cv. Nitta after all media was supplemented with 0.2 mg/l.0 BA and 20 g/l sucrose. Using 10-20-30 fertilizer yielded the maximum number of shoot and callus, while caused no death after 4 weeks. The other fertilizer gave shoots with longer leaves but caused high percentage of death.
