Water quality variation mediated by microalgae in recycling water in aquaculture (Tilapia nilotica) Tank was studied. After the total ammonia nitrogen (TAN) in the fish tank was about 1 mg/l, the one third of the water was transferred to an algae tank. The TAN decreased to 0 mg/l in 5 days with the first order kinetic rate, having the average rate constant -1.22206 day-1. Furthermore, alkalinity decreased and pH increased to suitable level. The recycling of water should be done every 11-12 days for tanks with stocking density 3.5-5.3 fishes/square m.
