Study on effects of triploidy on survival rate, body weight and feed conversion ratio (FCR) of Clarias macrocephalus Gunther revealed that survival rates of diploid and triploid fish were not significantly different in the first 2 months. But in the 3rd, 4th and 5th month triploid fish showed lower survival rates and body weight in the 4th and 5th month compared to the diploid group. FCR of diploid was better than that of triploid in the first month. Both diploid and triploid fish showed similar FCR in the 2nd and 4th month. Carcass percentages and resistance to Aeromonas hydrophila of the both treatments were also compared and the result indicated non-significant difference.
