Flat and round fractions of corn ZP SC 704 have been investigated. They were taken from three different phases of production: directly from seed crop, pre- and post artificial drying. For each seed we measured the mass of dry seed, mass of soaked (imbibed) seed, mass of seedlings and mass of air-dry seedlings. Correlation coefficients were determined between investigated characteristics. The highest values of investigated characteristics in seed and seedlings have the mass of a seedling, and the lowest ones the mass of a dry seedling. The variability of investigated characteristics does not show regular absolute values. The strongest correlation relationships are between the mass dry seed and the mass of a soaked one, as well as between the mass of a soaked seedling and the mass of a dry one.
