This paper discusses the correlation between a number of productive characters of a new potato cultivar Universal: yield, average number of tubers per plant, average tuber weight, tuber occurrence in fractions and starch content in tubers. There was a negative correlation between average tuber weight and number of tubers per plant; tuber occurrence in fractions and average tuber weight per plant as well as between the number of tubers and starch content.
