[The influence of dry matter content of impure sucrose solutions on the decoloration by the action of sodium sulphite]

The influence of dry matter in impure sucrose solutions on the decoloration by the action of sodium sulphite was investigated in the samples of two intermediate products in the process of sugar crystalization - in the solutions of unaffined and affined C product. Effects of decoloration were measured in solutions with the following dry matter content: 20, 40 and 60 [deg Bx] and with the addition of sodium sulphite of 0.075; 0.100 and 1.000 (/d.m.). The change of colour in solutions was measured in certain intervals up to 6 (h) at 80 (deg C).
