Possibilities of PERAL-S application for molasses disinfection in the process of ethanol production

The aim of this paper was to review tha data obtained in the investigations of the possibilities of PERAL-S application for molasses disinfection in the course of nutritive media preparation for the necessities of ethanol production. Investigations included different PERAL-S concentration and their effects on microbial composition of molasses, pH of nutritive media, content of volatile acids and the content of fermentable sugars in nutritive media. The obtained results indicated PERAL-S as disinfectant for the process of molasses preparation for ethanol production in concentrations lower than 3.
