Resistance in genetic different offspring of Tetranychus urticae Koch. (Acari: Tetranychidae) to clofentezine and dicofol

Resistance to clofentezine and dicofol in genetic different offspring of Tetranychus urticae population was investigated during 60-65 mite generation. Selection pressure by clofentezine and dicofol ceased seven and two years prior to starting experiments. Clofentezine resistance levels in genetic mixed (diploid and haploid) offspring were mostly higher than resistance levels in haploid one. Differences between the resistance levels varied independently from resistance variations in either offspring category. Dicofol resistance levels in genetic mixed offspring were higher than resistance levels in haploid one only at lower resistance levels. Differences between the resistance levels and resistance variations were high negatively correlated. Resistance to both clofentezine and dicofol significantly increased after 45-50 mite generation development. This increase was probably due to the coadaptation process.
