Studies of the effect of bulls on the duration of gestation and its phenotypic correlation with body weight of calves have shown that the bulls influenced significantly the gestation of cows. In the genotypes Holstein-Friesian x German Black White and Holstein-Friesian x Rotbunt they did not affect significantly on the duration of gestation for the calves of different sex, while in the Simmantal genotype the significant differences appeared. There were highly significant coefficients of phenotypic correlations between duration of gestation and body weights of calves.
