The cultivar Dinarac was developed by crossing the cultivars Georgije x Kraguj. According to the botanical classification, the cultivar Dinarac belongs to Hordeum sativum Jess. var. nutans. It has shown very high genetical potential for grain yield. Besides higher grain yield the cultivar Dinarac had better grain parameters: 1000-grain weight, percentage of seeds first class, and 1 lower grain protein content, than check cultivar Novosadski 294. The cultivar Dinarac has been 10 times more resistant to diseases Puccinia hordei, Puccinia graminis and Erysiphe graminis F. sp. hordei than check cultivar Novosadski 294. The malt quality properties of the cultivar Dinarac was on the level of check cv. Novosadski 294.
