Techniques of strengthening root and erecting seedling in dry-raised and scattered-transplanting rice seedlings

The effect of the seed-coat with rice seedling strengthener and materials with high ability of absorbing water on strenthening the root, promoting the tillers and erecting the plant of dry-raised seedling was studied. The results showed that: The using of the seedling strengthener and the materials of absorbing water in scattered-transplanting and dry-raised seedling can promote the development of root system, strengthen the root colony, increase the number of the tillers per seedling and the quantity of soil carried by root system of seedling. Moreover, the coat shaped from those materials with high ability of absorbing water can help root system form a ball of storing water, which may speed up the rate of seedling erecting and increase the resistance to hurt from transplanting
