Selected indicators of agricultural production in the areas of the Czech Republic with different production conditions

Differences between production and economic parameters of agricultural enterprises characterized by various production and natural conditions were established by comparison of two district sets of CR (10 districts situated in less favoured areas, 10 districts in more favoured ones). The district sets are characterized as follows: average official price of cadastral zones, share of permanent grassland: 45.6 and 6.2 % of agricultural land, woodland area: 121.6 and 35.0 % of agricultural land, workers/100 ha of agricultural land: 5.9 and 7.8. In 1994 production of cereals, hay from perennial forage crops, meadow hay amounted to 3.04, 5.27, and 2.96 tons/ha; average milk yield was 3514 l/cow in less favoured areas. The corresponding values in more favoured districts were higher by 60, 36, 11, and 20 %, respectively
