The fresh harvest of yardlong bean were put in plastic bag of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and chrystal clear polyethylene (CCPE). The bags were placed on coolrooms of 2 deg. to 0 deg. C; 2 deg. C; 10 deg. C; 15 deg. C (ambient). Observation was done to the effect on loss, moisture content, chlorophyl content, firmness and storage life. The result showed that storage in plastic bag combined with a temperature of 2 deg - 15 deg C prolonged the storage life up to three weeks when compared with only 2-3 days storage for the control. The product in CCPE bags have a more fresh than other and weight lose is less. When stored at 0 deg C, yardlong beans suffered from chilling injure.
