Effect of phosphate and mulch on vegetative growth and yield of cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.) of KK-Cross cultivar

The experiment was conducted at Subang Experimental Garden of Lembang Horticultural Research Institute from June to September 1993. Randomized Block Design with Factorial Pattern and three replications was used to study the effect of phosphate and mulch on vegetative growth and yield of cabbage KK-Cross cultivar. First factor: P0 without fertilizer, P1= 100 kg P2O5/ha, P2= 150 kg P2O5/ha, P3= 200 kg P2O5/ha, P4= 250 kg P2O5/ha, and second factor consisted of rice straw mulch (M1), black plastic mulch (M2), transparent plastic mulch (M3), and without mulch (M0). The results showed that there were no interaction effects between phosphate fertilizer and dolomite to vegetative growth and yield of cabbage, and the height of yield were given on rice straw mulch with 100 kg P2O5/ha, phosphate fertilizer for head of gross weight and head of nett weight
