Induction of gonad maturation of tiger prawn by injection of thoracic ganglion extract prepared from mature female of lobster was investigated under controlled condition. Three treatments of hormone dosage i.e, 50, 100, 150 microliter, were compared to control (not injected). Thirteen days after injection, more advanced stages of gonad development were observed in the shrimp injected with 100 microliter thoracic ganglion extract compared to the other treatments. The result suggest that gonad maturation of tiger prawn can be induced and stimulated by thoracic ganglion extract from mature female of lobster
