Effect of different levels of nitrogen and phosphorus on the growth of Ficus benjamina Roxb.

An experiment was conducted to study the effect of (4) levels of nitrogen and phosphorus on growth of Ficus benjamina plants ageing (5) months. The results indicated that (200ppm) of (N) gave the greatest leaf number, plant height and stem diameter, but there was no significant effect by using (P) alone. Large number of leaves per plant (202.6) was obtained by using (100ppm) of (N) and (200ppm) of (P), meanwhile highest plants were obtained with (200ppm) level of (N). Higher levels of (N) and (P) caused negative effects on plants
