This study was conducted in the field on loamy desert soil to investigate the effect of phosphate (P) fertilizer on growth and yield parameters of corn crop (Zea mays L.), Nellium variety. From this study it can be concluded that the best method for (P) fertilizer application for corn plant was dissolving the (P) fertilizer in irrigation water, besides the amount of (P) uptake by plants was higher after 118 days from germination in comparison with 75 and 50 days and the ratio of the amount of (P) added in bands /broadcasting which gave similar grain yield or (P) uptake was in the range of 2/3 - 1/2.
