[Nutritive evaluation of fodder maize and sorghum ensiled wilh excreta and molasses]

英语. The objetive was to determine the effect of animal excreta addition to corn and sorghum forage, prior to ensiling, on their degradability and performance of growing bulls. On the performance trial, 20 growing bulls were randomly alloted to the four mentioned silages that were fed in a 70:30 forage to concentrate ratio. The addition of excreta reduced (P.05) DMD, CPD and NDFD in the four treatments; thus it was assumed that a mayor proportion of dietary amino acids reached the small intestine. No difference (P.05) in body gain neither in DM intake and convertion was found among treatments. The addition of excreta (20) and molasses (5) to corn and sorghum prior to ensiling seems to be a feasible practice under shortage of concentrate ingredients.

El objetivo fue determinar el efecto de la adicion de excretas animales a forrajes de maiz y sorgo al ensilarse, en la degradabilidad y comportamiento productivo de toretes en crecimiento. La prueba de comportamiento se llevo a cabo con 20 toretes en crecimiento, divididos aleatoriamente en 4 grupos de 5 animales cada uno; cada grupo alimentado con uno de los cuatro ensilados mencionados, utilizando una dieta 70:30 ensilado + rastrojo de maiz: concentrado. La adicion de excreta no afecto (P0.05) la ganancia de peso, ni el consumo de MS, en los toretes, pero si disminuyo la degradabilidad de la MS y FDN de los ensilados con excretas y sin concentrado.
