[Water regime modifications and soil moisture characteristics by manure aggregations.]

A study was made under field conditions concerning the incorporation of organic matter with low rainfall in Tecamac, Mex, recording the change in soil moisture retention and conservation and its effect on the growth of barley in spring-summer cycle of 1988. Three manures were employed: from horses, poultry and cattle which were incorporated at dosis:0 (control), 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, and 6.0 with a dry soil basis. The moisture content was evaluated during the cycle at a depth 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm, the moisture retention characteristics at 0.3 atm and 15 atm and the production of dry matter, grain and harvest index. The design employed was random completely plot with three replications. With the dosis of 6.0 the soil moisture was increased at a depth 0-15 cm, the range 0-33 of moisture available, 41.66 of all records, diminished the negative effect of rainfall low. With same dosis the value at 0.3 atm and 15 atm in the comparative bulk of 6.4 and 14.0 respectively also increased, in comparison with control; but the available moisture diminished by effect of solutes in manures. An increase of production of dry matter was expected, 35.4 in comparison with control. Nevertheless the differences in the grain production was less evident, and the harvest index was reduced.

Se realizo un estudio en campo sobre incorporacion de materia organica bajo condiciones de temporal en Tecamac, Mex., evaluandose el camino en la conservacion y retencion de humedad del suelo y en el desarrollo del cultivo de cebada, durante el ciclo primavera-verano 1988. Se utilizaron los estiercoles: de equino, gallina y vacuno, los cuales se incorporaron a las dosis: O (testigo), 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 y 6.0 en base a peso de suelo seco. Se registro el contenido de humedad a las profundidades de 0 a 15 cm y 15 a 30 cm y las caracteristicas de retencion de humedad a 0.3 atm (CC) y 15 atm (PMP) asi como la produccion de materia seca, de grano e indice de cosecha. Se utilizo el diseno de bloques completos al azar con tres repeticiones. Con la dosis del 6.0 se incremento el contenido de humedad sobre todo en el estrato de 0 a 15 cm, predominando el intervalo de humedad del 0 al 33, 41.66 respecto al total de registros; reduciendose el efecto negativo de la baja precipitacion. Con esta dosis tambien se incremento respecto al testigo, el valor del CC y PMP en el orden de 6.4 y 14 respectivamente, pero se redujo la humedad aprovechable por los solutos presentes que afectan la retencion del agua. Se incremento la produccion de materia seca, en 35.4 en referencia al testigo y se redujo el indice de cosecha, sin embargo, las diferencias para el rendimiento fueron poco evidentes.
