Expansion of Vicia grandiflora Scop. in Central Poland

The biggest density of localities of Vicia grandiflora can be observed in north-western and the central-southern part of the investigated area. This species appears in great quantities, very frequently, frequently, or as individual specimens mainly in corn-fields cultivated mostly in habitats of Papaveretum argemones. Expension of Vicia grandiflora in this part of Poland is promoted, except some biological features and habitat conditions, by the following factors: abandoning an appropriate crop rotation, application of poorly cleaned sowing material, using modern technology of soil cultivation and corn harvest
