On the basis of data from literature and results obtained, the method of determination of linuron in carrots and potatoes using high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) was modified. Linuron was extracted from samples by chloroform, the extracts were cleaned on SPE minicolumns and then the contents of linuron were determined. The bordeline of detectability of linuron amounted to 0.02 mg/kg. The values of average recovery amount to respectively 95 and 90%. By using the modified method, the influence of freezing in - 18 deg C on the level of residue of linuron was investigated. It was found that during 5 months of storage, the contents of linuron decrease on average to approximately 10 percent
