Dynamics of nitrates in meadow sward during 10-year differentiated fertilizing and liming in a static experiment at Czarny Potok

The nitrate N content in meadow sward dry matter, studied in 10-year static fertilization experiment at Czarny Potok, did not exceed 0.1%. Long-term application of 180 kg N/ha on the background of PK, did not increase the content of nitrate nitrogen in crop d.m. above the level considered as harmful. Slight increase of nitrate content in crop d.m. was affected by liming. The contents of nitrate N in meadow sward d.m. varied considerably along successive years depending in great extent on precipitation
