Abrasion wear rates of hiller shares were tested on sandy soil under field conditions. The changes in length and thickness of cutting edges as well as weight losses of the elements were measured. Experimental functions were fitted to describe the experimental data. The results showed that the rate of wear depended on share location in relation to tractor wheel tracks and most intensive abrasion was observed in frontal parts of the shares
