Two variants of diet adjustment (feed mixtures B,C) were created by gradual reduction of crude protein content from 16 % to 13 % and by balancing the amino acids in the chosen feed mixture for fattening pigs from 35-65 kg (feed mixture A). The content of soybean meal was reduced, soya was excluded and content of pea was increased. The insufficient content of lysin in feed content of lysin in feed mixtures B and C was complemented by the addition of synthetic lysin (feed mixture B - 0.3 %, feed mixture C - 0.5 % ). The excretion of nitrogen in pigs decreased by 22 % by means of suitable combinations of feed, reduction of crude protein content and balancing the amino acids according to the needs of the animals while the same production efficiency of feed mixtures was kept
