The work confirmed the positive influence of soil preparation on the emergence and survival of oak acorns even when the prescribed soil preparation has been carried out only to a very small extent. The intensity of sheltering is of greater importance to the survival and growth of oak, which importance starts to decline already in the first year of the seedling's life with a value above 0.7 (open canopy).
