Aflatoxin caused by Aspergillus flavus is the main problem of the quality of corn grain. It influences on national export and utilization in animal feed industries. Breeding for resistance to the infection of the fungus is one of the means to reduce this problem. The objective of this research was to screen elite germplasm for resistance to A. flavus infection and low aflatoxin level. This research was conducted at the National Corn and Sorghum Research Center, Nakhon Ratchasima and at the laboratory of the Department of Plant Pathology during 1988-1989. Two screening techniques were used, i.e., silk channel inoculation and kernel infection. From the results, germplasm tended to have low infection percentage and low aflatoxin were as follows: (1) Open-pollinated variety-KS 5(S)C2, KS 6(S)C2 (2) Hybrid-KTX 3101 and (3) Inbred line-Ki 28.
