Experiment was carried out to study some characteristics of crossbreds from the silky male chickens and the White Leghorn, the Rhode Island Red, the Bar Plymouth Rock and the Super Hargo females. Crossbreds from the White Leghorn females' weight gain and feed intake were significantly declowased (P0.01) when compared with other crossbreds. There was no significant difference between feed conversion among treatments. The crossbreds males appeared normal skin and normal meat, but all females showed black skin pigment and black meat. The gene which controlled the degree of darkness of the plumages also increased the degree of the darkness in the skin and meat. Chemical composition studies of crossbred carcasses were conducted to determine the effect of breed, sex and position. There were significant differences (P0.01) among treatments in moisture, protein and fat contents. Fat content of crossbreds from White Leghorn and Super Hargo female were significantly different (P0.01) from that of the other. No significant difference in the quantity of the fiber and the ash were found when comparing of the breeds, the sexes and position. The study of the nutritive value of the meat from dark meat chicken. In the first and the second week the body weight gain of the mice fed chicken's dark meat contained chinese herbs and chicken's normal meat with chinese herbs rations were significantly increased (P0.05) when compared to the other groups. The various rations groups, for instances, fish meal with chinese herbs, chicken's normal meat with chinese herbs and chicken's dark meat with chinese herbs. However, in the third and the fourth week no any significant differences in the weight gain among the mice on all rations.
