Two varieties of muskmelon, F1.6802 and Super Sprint, were lighted, from cotyledon stage, during 30, 50 and 70 days. The artificial light increased total dry matter and organ dry matter (stem, leaf, root), leaves number per plant and leaf area. It also stimulated stem internodes elongation. Best results were obtained with Super Sprint plants treated during 70 days
