The planorbid mollusc Bulinus tropicus (Krauss, 1848) is the most abundant and widespread freshwater snail in the Free State. Parasitological studies revealed this snail to shed different types of cercariae. In this paper two echinostomatid and two forktailed cercariae are described based on light as well as scanning electron microscopy. Comments are also made on the possible life cycle resulting from each cercarial infection.
