Comparative histological study on metapodium in equines

Study material included 18 bones of metapodium of equines.Number of osteons was higher in dorsal and laternal areas, and smallest one in palmar ones.Density of osteons was the highest in metapodium bones of "middle" donkeys and the smallest - in horses.In the third metacarpal bone number of osteons was higher tahn in the third metatarsal one.
