Experiments were conducted to study some physical charcteristics of Iraqi oriental tobacco.The characters studied were; leaf length, width, leader area, thickness, mid-rib porion, combustibility and weight per unit area, for six marketing grades, first, second and third (A, B) at three locations(Sulaymania center, Beshder, Dokan) for two years 1985 and 1986
