Performance of thirteen new single cross hybrids and three locally used varieties of corn were tested during the spring and autumn seasons. The design of the experiment was a 4X4 balanced lattic square with five replications. The characters studied were dates of silking and maturity, plant height,ear height, total leaf area, grain yield and components of yield
