The effect of using different levels of sweet potato tubers meal and fat supplementation to broiler mash or pellet diets

Two experiments were conducted to study the effect of replacing yellow corn by sweetpotato tubers meal (SPTM) in poultry diets. The effect of corn oil addition was also studied. The first experiment lasted for 49 days using 500 one day old Fawbro males of the parent stock.SPTM replaced, weight for weight, 0.0, 12.5, 25.0, 37.5 and 50.0 of the corn in a pelleted diets.The second experiment lasted for 42 days using 288 chicks. Two 50 SPTM diets were supplemented with two corn oil levels (0.0 or 2.0) and fed as mash or pellet in a 2 x 2 factorial arrangement
