Investigations have been carried out on the dynamics of land division of Latvia rural regions according to the aims and kinds of land use during the period from January 1, 1990 to January 1, 1997. The dynamics of the percentage of land used in agriculture has been analysed as regards the agricultural lands as the sohole, as well as in peasent and auxiliary farms, and the dynamics of the percent of forest areas in peasant and auxiliary farms.
